Description: Agility 202 builds upon Agility 101, focusing on basic obstacle training like jumps, tunnels, weave poles, & contact obstacles (dog walk, teeter, & A-frame), while simultaneously teaching foundational handling techniques to navigate the course effectively, all within a supportive group environment with an emphasis on building confidence & positive reinforcement.
Prerequisites: Must have completed Agility 101 at CCC or be evaluated by the trainer before enrolling. No reactive dogs. Let the trainer know if your dog is under the age of 18 months, as jumping a dog over high hurdles under the aforementioned age is not recommended.
Class Size Limit: 6 dog & handler teams.
Curriculum: Each week focuses on one specific obstacle, as well as jumps & tunnel. Emphasis is placed on building a strong bond between handler & dog while navigating the course in a safe manner.
Required Equipment: Lightweight six-foot leash, an appropriate collar, treat bag, small treats, poop bags, water bowl, & water from home or bottled water.
* NOTE: There must be at least three dog & handler teams for this class to go forward. All visitors/clients must sign the Carolina Canine College waiver & provide current vaccinations records for each dog upon first registration. No refunds; no exceptions.
